Curriculum & Teaching Methodology
BSL has been teaching English since 1971 — first as India's earliest offline English Speaking institute, and from 2011 as an early online English Speaking course provider in India. Over 55 years, BSL has refined every element of this curriculum based on what actually produces fluent, confident English speakers — not theoretical frameworks, but tested classroom practice with over 1 million students.
BSL English courses are available in two formats based on your starting level and time available.
For students who already have a solid grammar foundation and need intensive communication practice. Focus: spoken fluency, pronunciation, confidence, real conversation scenarios.
For students who need a complete transformation — Grammar covered thrice, Vocabulary, Activities every day, Group Discussion, and the complete 12-week Personality Development programme included.
BSL follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) — the international gold standard for language assessment. Every BSL student is assessed at their current CEFR level before starting, placed in the appropriate programme, and receives a QR-verified CEFR certificate at each level they achieve. This certificate is recognised by employers, universities, and visa authorities in 50+ countries.
BSL English courses cover all four skills assessed in IELTS, PTE, and OET — not just speaking. Each skill is taught with dedicated practice sessions and real-world application.
In the 3-month Full Course, every grammar topic is covered three times — introduced, practised, and then applied in real communication contexts. Grammar is never taught in isolation at BSL; every rule is connected to how it sounds in natural spoken English.
